the little cowgirl

As this little giant's mom I can tell she isn't seeing things very well- that would be the trade off at work.
I can also tell how much being around this horse calms her soul.
We haven't seen Latte in a long time, a visit was way pass due....
for both of them.

Pretty fitting "We work as One, We become One, We are 1!"

And despite Latte being sore and Boo being less sighted they both look pretty comfortable together.
[Discussing which way is the way to around the barrels.]
Time for her other love, GYM.

from farm to stable to the State Fair

Morning farm chores. Feed, play, collect, and rescue a lost chick.
What a funny group!
Turkey dinners, a feral cat, a rescue rabbit, and a lost chick.
Lost chick returned safely to mom out in the back field.
Then off for riding her favorite little horse.
Followed by a trip to the State Fair....
for a little showing off for the marines.
A lot of animal love and exploration.
  Spending time with friends.
Now that is a gaggle of girls.

But this is what she came for: to fish!
Before she even cast she was a winner. She won a fishing pole in a drawing. She was so excited when they called out her name!
"I have never had my own fishing pole"
Then her great day got even better.
She caught a fish.
 A little fish :)
 What a super day!
Thanks everybody who had a part in our fantastic day,
especially Becky & Alan for the free passes-oh and the horse!

the grande finale

Today was the very last day of summer workouts.
The end to 5 hrs, 5 days a week!!! Big coach D gave the girls Friday off. Monday workouts return to the 4 hrs, 5x a week afternoon school schedule.
Timing could not have been better. Boo really was at her limit.
We are ready for life to slow down a little.
Right after gym Boo was invited to one of her best friend's horse shows.
Perfect place to watch the show from the sidelines, help pass out ribbons, and relax.
Tessa & Sand Man did fantastic!
What nice way to spend an afternoon.

days and days and days

Let's see...day one was the all breeds horse show, preferred gait where Boo was the only youth rider in the division :)
She was hosted/treated by my wonderful cousin Becky, her sweet husband Alan, and their amazing friend Linda. They took care of everything! Boo left gym early to go and I followed later after I got off work.
While I was leaving the gym her coaches demanded lots of photos. It was nice to know they support her in and out of the gym.
The Grow-Twigs showed up too! We have great friends!!!
How do you top off your first horse show?
The next day you go to the lake with more great friends and their family!
Big and Little Boo <3
They were pretty much joined at the hip.
Little Boo's papa sneaking in on the fun.
And then the next day we packed up and headed for Lava Hot Springs, Idaho for my family's annual over night extravaganza.
The gorgeous house we all stay at The Inn At Owl Creek.
Boo is pretty sure it is Fablehaven.
It is an action packed 2 days filled with cousins and other wild things.
Including Boo's new love: a mule.
Hula hoops and rockets
Fun for all ages. That is Boo's papa and my uncle making "improvements" on the water bottle rockets.
Games, tons of food, and laughter.
My family is very funny :)

Family
Just when you think that is enough days of fun we came home to a field of potatoes ready to pull and eat.
Summer is in full swing.
(send coffee this mom is very, very tired!)
