Easter Egg Dive

We joined some friends at the local pool for an Easter Egg Dive.
Love the little line up for the 8-9 year old age group.
The egg counting in progress.
It was a cute idea, the eggs were all numbered corresponding to a small prize or treat.
Super successful hunt!

Mummies of the World the Exhibition

We took a day off gym to join a homeschool field trip to the Leonardo to see the Mummies.  There are no photos allow in the exhibit and it was very dark and quite quiet.  The kids were most drawn to the mummies of South American and the children mummies.
Afterwards we entered the rest of the Leonardo for some creative technology fun!
Always a favorite stop gap animation.
And the Tinkering Lab where they made marshmallow catapults.

little pot of gold

Oh, those pesky Leprechauns!!!

They tied gold ribbon to the foot of Boo's bed.

She followed it out into the hall into the bathroom through the shower back to the hall through her brother's room into and around the kitchen through the sofa and up the stairs (with house guest dog at her side) to her little pot of spring gold.

Funny little things for a 9 yr old: bubbles, silly string, a new jump rope, a new purple brush, and bin of tootsie rolls.

A note about Boo's eyes:
With the changes in her vision it is important Boo be in corrective glass 100% of the time.  She is pretty good about it as long as her RX is good, when she stops wanting her glasses it usually means her vision has changed again.  Of course this morning glasses were the last thing on her mind.  When I saw this pic and heard her complaint that the ribbon was hard to see this year, which she thought was part of the trick, another part of our reality sunk in.  We have a lot of work ahead of us in this battle for her vision.  We would welcome all your good thoughts & blessings for our Little Boo along the way.
