Boo and I got the chance to join one of our favorite gym families at Copperton Park to watch the bikers participating in the 2014 Ride with the Angels 25 mile & 50 mile bike ride fundraiser cross the finish line.
"Angel’s Hands Foundation (AHF) was founded in 2001 by Mark and Roxann Kristensen, and Steve and Sue Stauffer. After returning from a National MPS Conference on the Kristensen’s son Matt’s disease, and experiencing the daily needs of a families living with unusual medical circumstances, the Stauffers and Kristensens decided to raise money to help Utah families deal with the everyday struggles facing families living with rare diseases."
"The mission of AHF is simple, “Improve the quality of life for individuals living with rare diseases.” In 2001, AHF supported Utah families with three forms of a rare disease (MPS). Since 2001, AHF has provided support and assistance to Utah families living with over 150 different rare conditions and about 50 undiagnosed conditions. AHF has also provided financial support to local children’s hospitals, local school districts, and other local charities that support these families. AHF continues to find unique diseases and conditions where families need assistance."
Karlyn, Gabby(Boo's gym idol & friend)'s big sister is one those unique kids. The 3 girls ate hot dogs, played games, and Boo and Gabby's favorite part snakes.
Karlyn wasn't so sure about the snakes.
When I told Boo's papa we were driving out to Copperton for a fundraiser he warned me I would fall in love with the town. Oh so madly in love with it. It is the cutest little mining town! I'm sure the amazing families and organization we were with had something to do with how charming I found it.
And the coolest playground!

The girls could have played on this the whole day.
