little fish, big ocean

Despite having a good meet, including matching or beating her season highs on floor and beam Boo didn't see the podium (except for the all around) in California.  Our 6's were little fish in a big pond.  Specifically Boo's age division was amazing.  It wasn't until all the scores were in that we able see how narrowly Boo missed the medals stand.  Way to Boo! Way to go GTC!!!
It was both humbling and empowering to see the potential Boo and her teammates have yet to tap into.

What Boo did see on this meet was absolutely perfect! Circus Circus Reno, Nevada where we spent a fantastic night with teammate Gabby and her family.

Welcome to California, got chains? Sure glad we brought Papa!

 Team dinner
 And this....(?) wow.
Strawberries and nice hotel rooms with all the comforts of home.  Absolutely no throwing up. Actually, one of Boo's teammates was throwing up but thankfully she was able to compete.
Best meet hair ever!!! >Yeah me<
TEAM <3
And there are so many individual touching stories to tell but that will have to be for another time...
Post meet toe color
More team. They are so serious.
'Little sister, big sister' teammates, my Boo and Laura (a level 7), watching the 8's and 9 right before they were pulled out onto the floor by big coach D to stay with our only 9 so she wasn't alone on her rotations. SO SWEET!
And most importantly of all Boo (Beach) at the beach!!!!
The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow :)

Awesome travel meet, season end in sight, and glad to be home.

  1. I love seeing your pics, Misty. Um...hello? Chains! We would have been so lost. Looks like you got the right travel partner ;) It looks like the trip was full of all the magic you and Beach deserve. Can't wait to hear the rest of the stories.
