THE WEEKEND!

Of course as most homeschoolers/unschoolers/ home educators would tell you 90% of learning is outside the plan, it is organic, and if you tired to account for all of it each blog post would be a mile long.
I try my very best to see the schedule as a friendly tool to help us reach our goals not something to be a slave to. If something isn't working we will change it.  If something comes up like a free day at the museum, a craft project, a schooled friend on holiday break, a good movie, the schedule can wait.  I am still holding the start of the school day off until a bit later in the morning.  It is working wonderfully! We both feel less rushed and ready to learn when the school bell rings at 10 am.  So for right now, here we are!
